How convenient would it be to simplify the management, editing, and sharing of documents and files? Recognizing that the transition to paperless work is still a 'work in progress' for many companies, Jan Poppe and Dirk Versavel founded ByondFiles.
ByondFiles offers a solution to greatly simplify document and file management, essentially serving as 'the office in your pocket.' The primary focus has always been on full integration between mobile and desktop.
With ByondFiles, mobile devices could replace the traditional file folders with paper documents. While existing solutions theoretically allowed for this, much of the information was scattered across multiple systems (server, email applications, note apps, camera roll, etc.). No single application effectively organizes information and makes it quickly accessible everywhere.

At the end of 2019, the concept was presented to several companies, which quickly became interested in joining the pilot project. The pilot companies were launched in the spring of 2020. Today, they use ByondFiles daily, and the experiences have been nothing but positive. The ByondFiles team, together with Encima, forms a strong team of 20 employees.
ByondFiles is led by Dirk Versavel and Jan Poppe, who are both investors/shareholders in NV ByondFiles.
Dirk Versavel, a civil engineer by training, began his career at LMS (Leuven) and Telindus (Leuven) before founding ENCIMA.
Jan Poppe was the owner and CEO of Sycron NV, a company active in retail automation with 200 employees.
