You will join an organization with 3 different branches:
- Encima (web agency) is an ambitious digital agency that builds custom web applications for clients. We strive to deliver only the best web applications to our clients, and we manage the hosting environment ourselves.
- ByondFiles (SaaS product) is a fast-growing startup that offers solutions to some of the biggest challenges for companies: keeping important documents organized and enabling smooth team collaboration. ByondFiles ensures document management is not only more organized but also ensures employees can always access documents—from their smartphone, tablet, or desktop. Both small and large companies use our management system successfully!
- Marcando (SaaS product) is an e-commerce platform offered as a cloud solution, making it extra easy for SMEs to set up their own B2C or B2B webshop and link it to an ERP system.
For these 3 branches, we are looking for a versatile expert in DevOps and system administration. Performance and uptime are “key” for each of these!
Your Profile
For the position of Full stack DevOps Engineer, we expect you to feel like a fish in water in a sea of networks, server hosting, security, firewalls, container technology, and MacOS/Linux/Unix ecosystems.
If you also have an affection for JAVA and/or web development, these are only plus points for us, although not a requirement.
You're someone who quickly picks things up and has a strong interest in learning new things. You’re an initiator with a real hands-on mentality. You work problem-solving and analytically, and you enjoy delivering high-quality and sustainable solutions.
You have an IT-oriented education at the bachelor’s or master’s level, such as a Bachelor in Applied Informatics. Experience is undoubtedly welcome, but for us, it’s not a showstopper if you don't have it yet.
What knowledge or skills can you impress us with?
- Networking for server management (firewall, NAT, VPN settings, …)
- Strong knowledge of Linux
- Apache web server
- Tomcat application server
- Postgres DB server
- Cloud architecture (Azure, Google Cloud, …)
- Automation (e.g., Ansible) and scripting (e.g., Python or Bash)
- Security and monitoring
- Identity and Access Management
- Relational database (SQL) (for possible DB interventions)
- Gitlab CI/CD
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Load balancing and reverse proxies
- Knowledge of JAVA, HTML, or other programming languages are a plus
- Initiative-taker with a hands-on mentality
- Team player
- Language skills: fluent Dutch and very good knowledge of English. Other languages are a plus.
